Ochsenkopf was originally founded in Wuppertal, Germany by the Fahlefeld brothers. The trade mark Ochsenkopf was listed in the “Remscheid Roll” in 1781 and is one of the oldest trade marks of the tool industry from that region. The former employee Daniel Kermendahl took over the company in 1869 and his experience and the continuous technical developments helped the company to improve the tools over time. In 2004 they were incorporated into the Gedore Group. Since then the high quality tools with the trade mark Ochsenkopf have been produced and distributed by Dako Werk Dowidat KG.
